Hello,
Yes, it's definitely bad. The bible says, "Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul" (1 Peter 2:11). I memorized part of this scripture, and gave that awful habit up.
I noticed that I became less introverted, and courageous. I became close to God.
You must read the awful side effects of masturbation in the book, An Appeal to Mothers, by Ellen White. It's only a chapter in length; you shall read it in a day.
